Grant for Co-Learning Circle Program

Introduction: Originating from “student study groups”, the focus has shifted from "text-based learning" to primarily encourage students to actively explore. The main ethos is to motivate students to explore knowledge, attitudes, and skills that extend beyond the classroom or delve into interdisciplinary fields. To support students' academic and career development needs and to help more faculty and students understand the learning outcomes, the Center for Teaching and Learning Development will issue participation certificates and plans to host the "Co-Learning Circle Showcase" in May 2027. We encourage all students to actively participate!

Participants in the Co-Learning Circle can gain valuable knowledge and experience, and they will also have the opportunity to receive the following:

1."Certificate of Participation in Co-learning Circles"
Participation in Co-learning Circles can serve as evidence of your exploration in further education and career fields. If your group successfully submits the final report (meeting the required content) and completes the questionnaire survey (with at least two responses, including one from the convener), the Center will issue a Certificate of Participation in Co-learning Circles to your group at the end of the semester.

2."Self-directed Learning Exhibition"
To showcase the learning outcomes of various self-directed learning programs at NTHU, we plan to hold a poster exhibition in the lobby of the Macronix Building in May 2027. You only need to provide some text from your final report and 2-3 photos. The Center for Teaching and Learning Development will handle the graphic design and scheduling. Participating students will receive a certificate of exhibition participation, and the Center will select outstanding works to receive certificates of merit.

【Implementation】:
*Comprising 4-8 individuals per group, a teacher or research fellow can be a member of the co-learning circle.
*Set your own learning topic and conduct at least four learning activities (both in-person and online),online limited to 2 times.
*After each activity, post either an Instagram REELS or a 50–100-word post on Twitter, Facebook, or Threads along with a photo, and include the searchable hashtag "#NTHU Co Learning Circle."

*Within one month after the program concludes, submit either a 5-minute short video or a 5,000-word final report.

The maximum funding for each project is NT$15,000. For projects related to the bilingual education program (such as language learning, involving at least one foreign student, conducting co-learning activities in English, or international exchanges), an additional funding of NT$5,000 can be applied for each case (with a maximum funding of NT$20,000 per case) to cover the cost of consumables arising from learning. The budget items should comply with relevant accounting regulations, and their use must be directly related to the Co-Learning Circle Program.
